Our Services

Chiropractic Adjustments

Our chiropractic adjustments focus on restoring joint mobility to decrease pain, improve function, and enhance overall well-being. By using gentle manual adjustments, we can realign the spine and other joints, relieving pressure and tension that may be causing pain or limiting movement. In addition to traditional chiropractic adjustments, techniques such as Webster and Tonal chiropractic may be utilized to address specific concerns, such as pelvic imbalances or optimizing nervous system function.

Dr. Julie utilizes a variety of adjustment techniques based on the patient’s preferences and goals, including, but not limited to, routine maintenance care, pain management, stress relief, sports recovery, and more.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese practice that involves inserting thin needles into points on the body to promote healing and overall wellness. By targeting these acupuncture points, your body’s energy will become more synchronized, resulting in a balanced and optimized state of well-being. This holistic approach can address a range of conditions, from pain management to stress reduction.

Functional Integrative Medicine

Functional integrative medicine uses the latest laboratory evaluations with a holistic approach to health care. Dr. Julie utilizes a biological systems approach by looking at how the systems of the body are interconnected to establish individualized care for each patient using science-based, cutting-edge natural therapies via nutraceutical supplementation, personalized diet plans, and lifestyle modifications to live an optimal, healthy life. Our methods seek to uncover the underlying causes of dysfunction and ill health. We use the latest advancements in nutritional medicine to truly resolve health issues.

Nutraceutical Supplementation

We proudly offer high-quality and clinically researched supplements to support the health and well-being of our chiropractic patients. We carefully select nutraceutical products that are designed to address specific health concerns and provide targeted support for optimal results. With our expertise in chiropractic care and nutritional supplementation, we strive to enhance the body’s natural healing processes and promote overall wellness.

Lab Testing & Analysis

Through advanced laboratory tests and analyses, we aim to uncover underlying health imbalances and provide personalized treatment plans. With a focus on identifying nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, food sensitivity testing, and inflammatory markers, Dr. Julie utilizes the results to tailor treatments and optimize overall wellness for our patients.

Dysbiosis & Nutritional Supplementation Manual Muscle Testing

This service goes great hand-in-hand with chiropractic and functional integrative medicine. We provide non-diagnostic dysbiosis and toxicity food sensitivity testing with nutritional supplementation using vial testing via manual muscle testing. Vial testing is not diagnostic. It is testing a vial with an energetic imprint of a substance or organism. A positive test results in temporary muscle inhibition when you are exposed to a vial.

Dysbiosis = altered microbiome of the body

Applied Kinesiology

Applied kinesiology is a holistic approach that combines elements from chiropractic and functional integrative medicine. It utilizes manual muscle testing techniques to assess the body’s response to various substances or organisms, often using vials with energetic imprints. This non-diagnostic testing helps identify dysbiosis, toxicity, and food sensitivities. Alongside the testing, neuro-emotional techniques are employed to address and release emotional or psychological stressors.

Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET)

Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) helps you address emotional stressors that may be impacting your physical health. Dr. Julie will work with you to identify and release emotional blockages that may be causing pain, discomfort, or other physical symptoms, helping you achieve optimal wellness and vitality.

Dysbiosis = altered microbiome of the body

Major symptoms of dysbiosis may include:

  • Fatigue
  • Poor Memory
  • Brain Fog
  • Feeling “Spacey”
  • Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar)
  • Irritability
  • Moodiness

  • Hypoadrenia (Adrenal Fatigue)
  • Obesity Or Inability To Lose Weight
  • Prostatitis
  • Vaginal Discharge And/Or Itching
  • PMS Symptoms
  • Chronic Rashes/Itching
  • Rectal Itching
  • Chemical Sensitivities

Corrective Exercises

Corrective exercises are designed to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and strengthen their bodies through targeted exercise programs. Dr. Julie creates personalized rehabilitation plans based on each patient’s specific needs and goals, incorporating exercises that focus on improving flexibility, stability, and overall muscular strength. By guiding patients through proper form and technique, she aims to enhance their recovery and help them return to their daily activities with reduced pain and improved functionality.

Pressure Wave Therapy (AKA Shockwave Therapy)

Pressure wave therapy is a non-invasive way to promote healing and recovery in targeted areas of the body using high-frequency sound waves. It works by increasing blood flow and metabolic activity to the affected tissue, promoting the growth of new blood vessels and nerve cells. This can be beneficial for conditions such as tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, and arthritis.

Learn More About Pressure Wave Therapy

Shockwave therapy or pressure wave therapy is a non-invasive treatment designed to treat chronic pain and degenerative conditions approved by the FDA. It delivers high-energy sound waves to body areas affected by injuries and/or pain to trigger the body’s natural healing process by increasing stem cell activity and blood circulation. Treatment sessions last for up to 10 minutes, with beneficial effects often noticed after the first or second session. Acoustic wave therapy can increase and improve the results of other regenerative treatments. There are no side effects associated with shockwave therapy, and it can be an excellent addition to chiropractic care to improve quality of life and mobility.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a therapeutic technique that involves inserting thin needles into specific trigger points or tight knots in muscles, tendons, or connective tissues. This technique is used to relieve pain, improve muscle function, and promote healing. While it may seem similar to acupuncture, dry needling focuses on targeting specific muscular trigger points rather than traditional meridian points.

Trigger Point Release & Musculoskeletal Muscle Release

Through hands-on techniques and targeted pressure, Dr. Julie identifies and releases tight knots and trigger points, restoring flexibility and promoting better movement. This service is ideal for individuals experiencing muscle stiffness, chronic pain, or limited range of motion, helping them achieve relief and enhanced physical well-being.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound involves using medical imaging to emit high-frequency sound waves that create images of the inside of the body. It’s used to examine organs and structures, such as the abdomen, pelvic region, heart, and blood vessels. Ultrasounds are commonly used for diagnosing and monitoring conditions not seen by the naked eye.

Cupping

Cupping involves using cups of different sizes and materials, such as silicone, glass, or bamboo, to apply suction on specific points of the body. The suction created by the cups can help to break up adhesions and scar tissue and can release painful trigger points or tight muscles. Additionally, cupping can stimulate the circulatory system, promoting the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the damaged tissues, accelerating the healing process, and reducing inflammation.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

IASTM utilizes specialized tools to effectively treat soft tissue injuries and chronic conditions. By applying precise, controlled pressure, Dr. Julie uses these instruments to assess and treat areas of scar tissue, fascial restrictions, and muscle imbalances. IASTM can help improve circulation, increase range of motion, and reduce pain, allowing patients to recover faster and enhance their overall physical performance.

Functional Kinesio Taping

Kinesio taping is a technique that has gained popularity due to its ability to assist in various aspects of muscle re-education while promoting a better sense of body awareness. By applying specific strips of tape to different parts of your body, Kinesio taping helps to optimize movement patterns and reduce the chances of injury.

Moist Heat & Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy & moist heat are both used to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and decrease pain. Moist heat can help reduce pain & stiffness, increase blood flow, and promote healing and is commonly used to treat arthritic pain and muscle spasms. Cryotherapy uses cold temperatures for similar outcomes, depending on the severity and duration you have had an injury. Here at Revitalign Wellness, we use hydrocollator packs for our moist heat modality and ice packs for cryotherapy.

FAQs

Does chiropractic work?

Absolutely! Chiropractic is a safe and highly effective non-invasive treatment that focuses on improving your body’s function. By restoring proper movement, chiropractic helps reduce pain and boost your energy levels.

Are chiropractors good for you?

Yes – chiropractors are great for your overall health and when in pain from an accident or general life.

How much does a chiropractic visit cost?

A Chiropractic visit can vary from city to city and office to office. Here at Revitalign Wellness, rates are variable based on treatment. Note: we do not accept insurance and are cash and credit cards only at this time.

If I don’t want to be “cracked,” should I not visit a chiropractor?

You don’t have to be “cracked” if you don’t want to! Just let us know, and we can use other techniques that do not require the “typical” adjustment techniques that you hear about from others. For example, we can use activator and flexion-distraction, which are great alternative adjustment techniques. We also offer functional integrative medicine, acupuncture, and other techniques/modalities to better your health!

Does chiropractic help with sciatica?

Yes, sciatica pain most commonly arises from nerve issues originating in the lower back and radiating into the leg. If your spine is compressed, particularly due to prolonged sitting, chiropractic adjustments can assist in relieving this compression and its associated symptoms.

Does chiropractic help with back pain?

Back pain is the primary reason why individuals opt for chiropractic care. Chiropractic adjustments are highly effective in treating back pain, as movement and mobility play a crucial role in facilitating the health and nutrition of the discs in the spinal column. Discs, which have limited access to blood supply, require movement of the spine to obtain necessary nutrients for repair and healing.

Humans are designed to be in motion, and a lack of mobility or injury to the spine can impede proper disc healing. Chiropractic adjustments instate motion in spinal joints, thus leading to adequate nutrient flow and improving the healing process for the affected area.

Does chiropractic help with arthritis?

Arthritis typically occurs when a joint is excessively used or injured. In the spine, it is common for some joints to compensate for the lack of movement in other joints by overactivity. By ensuring proper movement in the spine, the occurrence of joints moving excessively can be minimized, ultimately assisting in the prevention or reduction of arthritis.

How is holistic/functional medicine different from conventional medicine?

Conventional medicine is useful for identifying diseases and treating them with medications. Holistic medicine can help heal the body before being diagnosed with a disease or illness. Conventional medicine treats symptoms one by one, while holistic medicine treats the body as a whole.

How do I know if holistic integrative medicine could be right for me?

Holistic treatments are designed on a person-by-person basis. Many people don’t feel “right,” and conventional doctors cannot figure out why. All labs come back “normal,” and the person is left to live with their symptoms. This is where holistic medicine comes in. Food is medicine! Dietary and nutraceutical supplementation recommendations may be needed as the nutrients from our food supply have been depleted. Those who are ready to make their health a priority and feel healthy again may benefit from working with Dr. Julie Dimitroff here at Revitalign Wellness!

What exactly does a chiropractor do?

Chiropractors use gentle techniques to adjust the joints in your spine and extremities that may be restricted in their movement. This restriction may result from a significant incident, such as a car accident or fall, as well as repetitive motions like prolonged computer work.

Does chiropractic hurt?

Chiropractic treatments are typically not painful. While it might be initially uncomfortable to mobilize joints that have been immobile, any discomfort is usually temporary. While preferences may vary, many individuals appreciate the positive effects and overall well-being they experience after chiropractic adjustments.

Why would I need to see a Chiropractor?

Numerous motives drive individuals to seek chiropractic care, with pain relief ranking as the primary reason. Common pain issues include back pain, neck pain, headaches, and chronic conditions. Additionally, chiropractic care offers a range of benefits, such as improved sleep, increased energy, reduced mental fogginess, stronger immunity, and an overall sense of well-being.

Does chiropractic help with scoliosis?

Individuals with scoliosis typically experience uneven spinal pressure that results in some spinal joints moving excessively while others become immobile. Through chiropractic adjustments, the spine can be mobilized and moved as optimally as possible, which can help alleviate pain.

Does chiropractic help with posture?

Yes, the effects of spending excessive hours on the computer and phone are familiar to us all. Prolonged use can lead to tightness in the anterior muscles (front muscles) and the forward shifting of the head. Poor posture often manifests as the initial symptom before the onset of pain.

Does chiropractic help with vertigo?

Vertigo is a condition that arises from issues in the eyes, ears, or upper region of the neck. When these sensory input areas fail to function correctly, vertigo symptoms may occur. The neck is often overlooked by eye, ear, nose, and throat specialists (EENTs) as a potential cause of vertigo. Chiropractic adjustments can aid in restoring mobility to the neck and, in turn, enhance proper brain function.

Why should I receive chiropractic care if I’m not in pain?

Even without symptoms, chiropractic care can provide numerous benefits to individuals, such as improving spinal mobility, maximizing overall physical and mental function, and enhancing the body’s immunity. Our bodies can frequently experience spinal misalignments, which can cause nerve interference and ultimately disrupt vital body functions. By regularly receiving chiropractic adjustments, these misalignments can be corrected, leading to improved health outcomes and mitigating future health concerns.

Why won't my insurance cover functional medicine?

Unfortunately, most insurance companies don’t believe that holistic medicine treatments are necessary and will not cover it. As holistic practitioners, we spend more time with you getting to the root cause of your symptoms and creating a treatment plan. Although not covered by insurance, the services we provide far exceed what conventional doctors offer.

What is dysbiosis?

Dysbiosis is an altered microbiome of the body. This is caused by lifestyle factors, diet, and other health issues and leads to symptoms such as gastrointestinal issues, fatigue, and brain fog. We will provide a holistic evaluation, including labs. Treatment involves lifestyle coaching, dietary adjustments, supplements, stress management, and more.

Major symptoms of dysbiosis may include:

  • Fatigue
  • Poor Memory
  • Brain Fog
  • Feeling “Spacey”
  • Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar)
