Pregnancy Doesn’t Have to Mean 9 Months of Discomfort
You’re carrying new life, and your body is working harder than ever.
Your lower back aches. Your hips feel tight. Maybe you’re dealing with sciatic pain shooting down your leg. Or that constant pressure in your pelvis that makes it hard to sleep.
Here’s what you should know: This discomfort isn’t something you just have to “push through” until delivery.
Webster Technique is a specialized form of chiropractic care designed specifically for pregnancy. It combines gentle adjustments with targeted muscle releases to help your body adapt to the changes happening right now.
What Happens During a Webster Technique Session
Your first appointment:
1. We’ll talk through your health history (full hour)
Tell us about your pregnancy so far, any discomfort you’re experiencing, and what you’re hoping to feel better about.
2. We’ll assess your alignment and muscle tension
We’ll check your spine, pelvis, and the specific muscles that often get tight during pregnancy, like your piriformis (the small muscle under your glutes that causes sciatic pain), your psoas, and the ligaments supporting your uterus.
3. You’ll get your first Webster Technique session
This combines gentle chiropractic adjustments with targeted muscle releases in your pelvis, sacrum, and abdomen. Most women feel relief immediately, or at least notice they can move more easily.
4. We’ll talk about supplements (if needed)
Your body is giving baby everything it needs, which can leave you depleted. We’ll recommend quality prenatal supplements to help minimize hair loss, postpartum depression, and other common issues after delivery.
5. We’ll create a care plan
We’ll recommend how often you should come in based on how far along you are and what’s going on. Some women come weekly, others every 2-3 weeks.

Common Questions
Is it safe to get adjusted during pregnancy?
Yes. Webster Technique is designed specifically for pregnant women. The adjustments are gentle, and we modify our approach based on how far along you are.
What if my OB told me not to get adjusted?
Some OBs aren’t familiar with prenatal chiropractic care and may discourage it out of caution. Webster Technique is safe and widely recognized. If your OB has concerns, we’re happy to provide educational materials or speak with them directly.
When should I start?
Anytime during pregnancy. Many women start in the first trimester for nausea relief, while others begin in the second or third trimester when discomfort increases.
Do I need to keep coming after the baby is born?
That’s up to you. Some moms continue care postpartum to help their bodies recover. We can also adjust your baby if you’d like. These gentle adjustments help with colic, ear infections, sleep, and digestion.
