Why Acupuncture? An Ancient ‘Reset Button’ For Modern Times.
Traditional Chinese Medicine maps out energetic pathways, called meridians, throughout your entire body. These meridians connect to every organ and every system in your body.
When these pathways get blocked or out of balance, you feel it: fatigue, hormonal chaos, pain, stress, insomnia, and other symptoms.
Acupuncture uses thin needles at specific points along these meridians to restore energy flow. Your body knows how to balance itself. We’re just helping it along.
Your first few sessions hit the reset button. Think of it like recalibrating your entire system. Most people start feeling better during that rebalancing phase—even for whatever brought them in. After 2-3 sessions, we’ll adjust the treatment points if we need to target something more specific.
Did you know? Acupuncture has been in use for nearly 3000 years and is the most thoroughly researched form of complementary medicine.

Other Options
Traditional acupuncture works for most people. But sometimes your body needs something different.
Dry Needling
For stubborn muscle knots that won’t let go. The needle goes straight into the tight muscle to release it.
What it’s good for: Chronic muscle tension, trigger points, persistent knots
Honest truth: This one can be intense. It’s not as comfortable as traditional acupuncture, but it works when nothing else will.
Cupping
We use suction cups on your skin to break up adhesions between your muscles and fascia. Great for releasing deep tension and improving blood flow.
What it’s good for: Muscle tension, pain relief, restricted movement
What to expect: You might have circular marks for a few days (like temporary hickeys). They don’t hurt—just look dramatic.
Electric Stimulation (E-Stim)
We can hook your acupuncture needles up to gentle electrical pulses for even deeper muscle relaxation.
What it’s good for: Deep muscle tension, chronic pain, when you need extra help letting go
What it feels like: A light tingling sensation. Most people find it relaxing.
Needle-Free Options
Not ready for needles? We have alternatives.
Acustim Device: An electric pen that stimulates acupuncture points without breaking your skin. Perfect for kids or anyone nervous about needles.
Laser Acupuncture: Uses light instead of needles. Gentle, non-invasive, and still effective.

Everything is Connected
Pain, fatigue, digestion and mood often share a root cause. We’ll help you find out what’s really going on. Plus we can bring in chiropractic care and Functional Medicine as needed.
“Initially I went to Julie interested in muscle testing and interpreting very specialized labs. I was experiencing pretty severe GI issues for months and had already tried many things. I ended up benefiting so much from chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture alone we have decided to stick with these foundations for now. If you are suffering from something or just looking for stress relief I would highly recommend being open to her ideas and various modalities, you never know what your body might actually need.”

Common Questions
I’ve never had acupuncture before. What should I expect?
A: Most people are surprised by how relaxing it is. You’ll lie comfortably while we place very thin needles at specific points. Sessions last 15-20 minutes. Many people fall asleep.
Does it hurt?
No. If you feel anything uncomfortable, speak up—we’ll adjust the needle. That’s it.
(Dry needling is different—that goes straight into muscle knots and can be intense. Traditional acupuncture should not be painful.)
Do you only do acupuncture, or can I combine it with other treatments?
You can absolutely combine it. Many patients benefit from using multiple approaches—chiropractic, functional medicine, and acupuncture together.
What’s the difference between acupuncture and dry needling?
Traditional acupuncture works with meridian points to rebalance your body and shouldn’t be painful. Dry needling targets muscle knots directly and can be more intense. We offer both depending on what you need.
I’m afraid of needles. Can I still do acupuncture?
Acustim device: An electric pen that stimulates points without breaking the skin (great for kids too)
Laser acupuncture: Uses light instead of needles
How many sessions will I need?
Most people see changes within 2-3 sessions. Some notice a difference after just one.
We’ll figure out a plan that makes sense for you during your first appointment.
Can kids get acupuncture?
Yes! We use a needle-free acustim device for children. It’s gentle and effective.
Do I have to book the free consultation first?
Not if you already know you want acupuncture. You can book directly for a first appointment if you’re ready.
The free consultation is helpful if you’re not sure which service is right for you (chiropractic, functional medicine, acupuncture, or a combination), or if you just want to talk through your situation first before committing.
